At Riverlane, we design new quantum algorithms and quantum
circuits to simulate highly correlated quantum systems using fewer
qubits or gates than anyone else. This is core to what we do and we need
people who can produce world leading research in quantum computing.
This internship scheme is designed to enable a current PhD student in
a quantum-related field to translate their expertise into an industrial
setting. You will join us at our office in Cambridge, UK, where you
will have the opportunity to work alongside our team of software
developers, mathematicians, quantum information theorists, computational
chemists and computational physicists – all experts in their fields.
You will work on a project designed to make best use of your background
and skills whilst developing your knowledge of the field of practical
quantum computing. You will learn about new industrial applications of
quantum computers and how quantum algorithms get mapped to physical
devices, coming up with new methods or implementing and modifying
existing ideas as a result.
- a current PhD student in a quantum-related field;
- strong mathematical ability;
- some programming experience;
- good written and verbal communication skills.
All candidates must be eligible to live and work in the UK.
